Learn how I planned for my return to working outside the home at a local small business.
Great news, you guys! Recently, I was hired at a local small business called Liquid Creative (more on that later!) I haven’t worked in an actual office since the kids were babies, so I was really excited to meet my new co-workers, except for one thing… I had a cold. And it was one of those obnoxious sinus infections that just goes on forever. When we did introductions, everyone wanted to shake my hand, and I had to awkwardly giggle while asking them not to touch me to avoid acquiring what felt like the plague my children had likely brought home from school.
So when I headed to the office for my first official day of work, I came well-prepared. I was recently selected to participate in a sponsored campaign for Member’s Mark Brand 2-ply Facial Tissue, so before beginning my first day of work, I headed there to pick up something very important for the office: Member’s Mark Brand 2-ply Facial Tissue. This was perfect timing!
Before heading to my new job, I grabbed some tissues. Using the Sam’s Club Scan & Go App, I was able to scan the 12-pack of Member’s Mark Brand 2-ply Facial Tissue, pay with the credit card on file within the app, show the person at the door my receipt, and leave. It is super easy to use, and helps you avoid long lines, especially at peak times of the day. I placed several boxes around our office {how much do I love that the colors coordinated perfectly?} My boss caught this plague, too, last week, so I know we needed a good stash of tissue. And at just $11.98 for a 12-pack, I paid less than $1 a box. What an exceptional value for a quality product!
Small businesses cannot shut down due to the common cold, so stock up on tissues at Sam’s Club quickly and easily using the Scan & Go App in-club. Now that I’m on the mend, I’m ready for my new career adventure. This work-life balance stuff is always a struggle, but the best thing we can do is stay organized, plan out what we can, and prepare for the unexpected.
Do you work for a small business? How do you prepare for the unexpected?
