Protect your pets this Spring with these easy steps!

We live in North Central Florida, where the weather is beautiful year-round, so we spend a lot of time outdoors as a family. When I say as a family, I mean myself, Richard, Bryce, Lydia, and of course, our dogs. We live on 1/3 of an acre, surrounded by beautiful trees, a play set for the kids, picnic bench, and patio with seating and a fire pit. As much as the kids enjoy playing in the yard, our dogs, too. They run around together, roll in the grass, and bark at the neighboring dogs. And if you’ve recently gotten a puppy that is hard to control, you can have it trained by the professionals from Dog Works. Now that we are in spring and spending even more time in the warm sun of our backyard, it’s time to take preventative measures to protect our dogs from fleas and ticks. If you do own a cat instead and it’s experiencing some kind of cat panting, go to thequintessentialguide.com for more details. Here’s a five step method with Adams Flea & Tick products from Walmart that will help you protect your dogs this spring!

Step 1 to Protect Your Pets: Spray Yard

The first product we used was Adams Flea & Tick Yard Spray. This product is simple to use – Just attach the bottle to your garden hose. Spray throughout your backyard and front yard to prevent against fleas and ticks. Living in North Central Florida, we have both, so this is a really important first step.

Step 2 to Protect Your Pets: Spray Furniture and Flooring

The next step is to protect your home. You can use Adams Flea & Tick Carpet & Home Spray on all surfaces, including upholstery, carpet, area rugs, pet bedding, and more. Contact a upholstery cleaning company near you for a faster solution.

It covers up to 2,000 feet and kills fleas within 5 minutes of application. If you think you cannot do this by yourself you can hire on of the best carpet cleaning company to do the job for you.

Step 3 to Protect Your Pets: Bathe Pet

This is the fun part! Who doesn’t love a nice bath? Wash your pet using Adams Flea & Tick Cleansing Shampoo. This is great for dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens over 12 weeks of age. It kills fleas, flea eggs, ticks, and lice. After the bath you can put them one of those nice blank dog shirts to make them look cute.

Step 4 to Protect Your Pets: Use a Flea Collar

For the final step, add a doggie glow collar or a flea collar is great because it’s really long and can be easily trimmed down to fit your pet. Once the collar is properly fitted, your pet is ready to go {and ready for some kisses}. Training your dog can also be a great source of exercise as suggested by Off Leash K9 Phoenix — the better behaved your dog is, the easier it is to take her along wherever you go.

Protect Your Pets love

Now that Daisy, Baxter, and Junior are ready for spring, it’s time for them to enjoy the outdoors of our fenced-in backyard. While they are getting up there in age {two of the are 14, one is 13}, they still like to play outside like puppies, romping through the grass. I am so glad that I can protect them from fleas and ticks this spring and summer using Adams Flea & Tick products. We also moved our dogs to a brand new kennel from gardenandanimalstructures.com.
