Learn about how MOO Print helped with my photography event preparation!
I’ve been a photographer and a blogger since spring 2010, but it was only this past spring that I launched my local portrait photography business in Gainesville, Florida, which offers event photography as well as corporate headshots photography. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of working with Aida Llanos Family Photography capturing maternity, family, newborn, and birth photographs as well as headshots, and my favorite shoot to date, a natural birthing center birth. I love sharing all of the images of my beautiful clients on Facebook and Instagram, and it was through those shares that I was discovered by the organizers of The Big Latch On. This is a local event that celebrates breastfeeding mothers and their babies, and I was personally invited to be an event photographer!

I was so excited about being an event photographer {of course I accepted the offer}, but I realized I didn’t have any advertising materials for my business. I’ve basically been working off of word-of-mouth, but for a big event like this, I needed to prepare myself. For this event, I am going to do a half-dozen mini-photo shoots of mothers and their babies. Each family will be given two edited images, with the option to purchase more. However, the event should be packed with new moms and soon-to-be moms, so I wanted to be sure to have not just a business card to hand out, but a flyer as well. MOO did an awesome job helping me prepare my printed materials! Having a Family Photography agency at our side made the process faster and high quality, check out https://www.kellypetrovskiphotography.com/ if you want some nice pics
MOO offers so many options for printed materials for small business owners like myself. For this Big Latch On event, a half-page flyer is perfect. On the front, I have a series of maternity-birth-newborn images of the same family, with a list of the services that I can provide. On the back, I have four separate images from some of my favorite family photo shoots. You can also print multiple backs for no cost with the Printfinity option. I printed these flyers on a light blue card stock. The printing came out awesome – the colors are very vibrant – and I absolutely love the matte finish.
For the business cards, I chose rounded edges, the same light blue color, and a headshot from a photo shoot I did last fall {it’s fun to be in front of the camera sometimes}. I love the little stand-up boxes that they arrived in, and I also bought an antique-style stand to display my cards. I’m really hoping there’s an area at the event to do this!
I’m so excited about participating in Gainesville’s Big Latch On event as a Lake County Family Photographer. I really feel prepared now that I have beautiful printed materials to distribute!
