Ideas for Fall Fun to keep you active with your family!

After dealing with the Hurricane Irma madness of the last week, this blog post is just as much to help you as it is to help myself. I am absolutely ready for some fall fun! Fall happens to be my favorite season — Halloween, my birthday, cooler weather, everything cinnamon. All wonderful reasons to enjoy these three months by getting outdoors and staying active. To assist with my active lifestyle, I need to stay well-nourished, which includes not only healthy food, but vitamins as well. Nature Made® Adult Gummies are a gummy you can trust. I purchased the Vitamin D3 Adult Gummies, the body’s preferred form of Vitamin D*, which help support bone, teeth, muscle, calcium absorption, and immune health. And now, on to the Fall Fun to Keep You Active!

PICK APPLES

It is apple picking season in the Northern Georgia mountains. How do I know this? We went just last weekend! We drove to an orchard in Blue Ridge, Georgia to enjoy time as a family picking apples. This was one of those bucket list items I just had to do after moving to northern Florida. The town of Blue Ridge was beautiful and the orchard was amazing. We picked many different types of apples.  And after baking with them and eating them for over a week, probably have at least 40 left. It’s a great fall activity that allowed us to enjoy the weather outdoors and get in a little exercise climbing up and down the hills to collect apples.

EXPLORE A LOCAL FARM

The area I live in is the perfect mix of a hip urban area, awesome suburban homes and schools, and rural farms and wooded areas. When I want to escape to the country, just a 20-minute drive, and I’m surrounded by farmland. The fall is a wonderful time to check out your local farms, visit the animals, and taste the seasonal produce that is available. So many farms host special fall festivals and events, like corn mazes and hay rides. It’s a great way to enjoy the outdoors in the fall!

VISIT A PUMPKIN PATCH

Every year since the children were born {cue the adorable throwback photo}, we have taken annual pumpkin patch photographs. Depending upon where you live, a day at a pumpkin patch may include walking around to find the perfect pumpkin, pumpkin carving or painting, bounce houses, slides, and other fall fun. We love exploring pumpkin patches as a family and taking photographs we will treasure forever!

HIKE IN THE WOODS

The fall is the perfect time for a hike through the woods! Visit a nearby national park or nature preserve, and have fun exploring. I love to photograph the unique wildlife I see along the way, like that awesome redheaded woodpecker. If you’re lucky enough to live somewhere where the leaves change, it’s a beautiful way to truly enjoy being active in the fall.

TAILGATE WITH FAMILY

Of course, who could forget tailgating? Now that I live in my college town of Gainesville, Florida, tailgating is a must! But don’t just sit around eating and drinking – bring some outdoor games. Play frisbee, jump rope, toss the football around, have a hula hoop contest. Make it a day of tasty snacks, refreshing beverages, and fun outdoor activities before watching the game.

Nature Made® Vitamin D3 Adult Gummies is the #1 Pharmacist Recommended Letter Vitamin Brand based on US News & World Report – Pharmacy Times Survey of pharmacist recommending in this category. Vitamin D3 Adult Gummies is USP Verified for potency, purity and quality. Follow the recommended serving daily to help enjoy fall fun with your family this season.

Head to Walmart where you can find a variety of Nature Made® Adult Gummies in the pharmacy section.
