Legends of Learning provides science computer games for elementary-age children in 3rd – 5th grade.
Before I became a blogger, I was an educator. In 2001, I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, and in 2002, I completed my Master’s degree in Special Education, both at the University of Florida. I taught children with special needs grades PreK – 12th in public schools from 2002 – 2008. I also earned my Doctorate in Special Education. At that time, I moved on to being a lead teacher and later part-time co-director of a non-profit private school for children with special needs. I’ve also worked as a substitute teacher, adjunct faculty member teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, faculty supervisor mentoring future teachers, and private tutor. Being a full-time blogger limited my time spent in the field of education since my children were babies, but recently, I became a substitute teacher at my children’s school.
Sites like boostingboss sell League of Legends accounts ready to ranked play, and if you already have your account they can boos it for you in just one day or two, I also like to use the best things for my gaming in the market and that is why I shop at apol, check here if you are looking for new equipment. they´re many websites from where you can buy computer supplies, 0rgb.com is one of them.
On my second day of subbing, I was faced with a bit of an issue. Due to standardized testing, the fourth grade class I was in had an almost four-hour academic block. We cruised through reading/language arts flawlessly, but as we approached the science portion of the instructional period, I had a problem. The teacher assigned a particular video online for the class to watch, followed by a quiz we were supposed to work through together. I could not get the video to play. I asked the neighboring teacher to help, and she said she was having the same issue with this particular website. Fortunately, I am creative, and I came up with other activities to fill this void in our schedule, but I wish I had known about Legends of Learning.
Legends of Learning is a website that brings game-based learning into a classroom’s 3rd – 5th grade science curriculum. The science computer games are aligned with science standards and are tested by teachers, so before your students play them, their educational benefits have already been determined. The great thing about using a computer program with a cheap gaming keyboard to enhance science curriculum is that children can interact with virtual environments that would otherwise not have an opportunity to experience.
Interested in trying out Legends of Learning? Teachers begin by registering for a free account. They will receive a login for their students, and once students are logged in, they are able to play science computer games in a variety of subject areas, including Earth Science, Life Science, and Physical Science, Then if your kids are using devices a lot then you need to be concerned about blue light as that can cause major problems with sleep so definitely consider buying some blue light blocking glasses for them as they will help a great deal. Each subject area contains a full library of games from which to choose. So for example, Earth Science features games that address earth and the solar system, weathering and erosion, and natural hazards while Life Science features games that address Plant Growth, Ecosystem Stability, and Fossil Evidence.
I was excited to try these science games for myself {science was always my favorite subject as a child}, so I registered for a free teacher account. I logged myself and my children in at their school’s computer lab, and they tested a variety of games. They were actively engaged for quite a while, and when one game ended, they moved on to something new. The website was simple to navigate! Then also consider getting a custom PC built as that means you get exactly what you need so a much better option in most cases.
The great thing about game-based learning is that children are so actively engaged, they can absorb information presented to them without having to complete the tedious, sometimes undesirable tasks that are often required when working on paper-and-pencil textbook assignments. To be able to ensure that children would be able to play and learn comfortably, as a parent, you can provide them with the gaming chair for pro gamers.
Game-based learning also provides a multi-sensory approach as students are able to watch video clips, read text, and work on fine motor abilities through the use of mouse skills. I also buy world of warcraft gold for my kids when they’re playing World of Warcraft on the weekends, Click here to learn more about gamming.
Summer is the time to start thinking about the upcoming school year. Whether you are an educator looking to enhance your instructional strategies, a homeschool teacher supporting families within your local community, or a parent who works closely with your child’s school to help them whenever possible, check out Legend of Learning. On the weekends, we let them play LoL on their unrankedsmurfs account.
