Mini Cheddar-Ham Croissant Recipe

This Mini Cheddar-Ham Croissant recipe is easy to prepare and always a crowd pleaser!

The holidays are approaching, which means that as chaotic as life seems to be in September with back-to-school and October with Halloween, it’s really time to get busy now! There are also so many occasions that require you to bring a dish during the holidays to celebrate with friends and family. This Mini Cheddar-Ham Croissant is an easy dish with simple ingredients you can prepare in just minutes, that all of your guests will love!

Recipe makes 32 mini cheddar-ham croissants.

Mini Cheddar-Ham Croissant Ingredients:

  • 2 cans pre-made croissant dough
  • 6.5-ounce cup Kaukauna® Spreadable Cheese – Sharp Cheddar
  • 1/2 pound sliced honey ham
  • 2 T butter
  • 1 T poppy seeds

Mini Cheddar-Ham Croissant Directions:

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Pop open {I love this part} your first can of dough and unroll it. Cut each croissant in half the long way to form two smaller triangles to make mini croissants.

Spread a layer of the Kaukauna® Spreadable Cheese on the croissant. I used the Sharp Cheddar variety, but you can try different Kaukauna® Spreadable Cheeses to find your favorite! This was a classic ingredient in my home growing up, so it’s fun to celebrate the Kaukauna® 100 year anniversary with my family and this tasty recipe. Cut a piece of honey ham to fit over the cheese and roll it up. Complete this process with both cans of croissant dough. Lay your mini cheddar-ham croissants on a lined baking sheet.

Melt the two tablespoons of butter and brush it over each mini croissant. Sprinkle the poppy seeds lightly over the top. Don’t like poppy seeds? You can use sesame seeds or even a dried herb, like rosemary or thyme. Maybe make them a few different ways so your guests can select their favorite flavor! Bake the cheddar-ham croissants for 16-18 minutes, until golden brown.

When your mini cheddar-ham croissants are golden brown, remove from the oven and serve! You can serve them alongside your favorite condiment {I’d recommend whole grain or Dijon mustard} or with extra Kaukauna® Spreadable Cheese to top them off!
