Happy Birthday to the Girl who Made me a Mom

So I’m not ready to write this, but here I am. There’s something amazing about writing these annual birthday posts for my children. They can make me sad – realizing just how long Lydia has been here, that she’s such a big girl now – and then they can make me happy – realizing just how long Lydia has been here, that she’s such a big girl now. Amazing when one thing can make you feel so much all at once. Good feelings. Lydia is incredible. She is incredibly sweet, incredibly brilliant, and incredibly beautiful. She still sucks her thumb and plays with her belly button, but wants to wear makeup and jewelry. She is the sweetest, most loving little girl I’ve ever met.
