Kids will love these Disney Preschool Crafts!
So I’m trying something new on my blog that I hope all of you will just love. I’ve looked through some of my old content that people tend to find through Pinterest, and I’m creating new content that captures many of my best posts in one round-up post. This time? Disney Preschool Crafts! I used to host so many fun Disney parties that I thought it’d be great to gather together all of the best crafts from the posts. These crafts are perfect for children ages 3 to 6, but of course they can be modified for younger or older children. Have fun crafting with your kids with inexpensive materials you may already have around your house.
Inside Out Emotion Masks
Children learn how to express feelings with these Inside Out Masks
Materials:
- Construction paper
- Eye stickers or wiggly eyes
- Markers, crayons, colored pencils
- Glue
- Wooden dowels
Directions:
Set up all of the materials needed to make Inside Out emotion masks. I organized the supplies by color so that kids can begin to make associations between colors, moods, and emotions. I also set out pre-cut face shapes so the children could focus on their decorations.
Allow the children to have fun designing masks that capture their feelings. They can use stickers that have different eyes and other facial features or draw their own with crayons, markers, colored pencils, and even glitter glue. It’s so important to encourage children to express how they feel through their art!
Avengers Superhero Shields
Does your child want to be his/her favorite superhero? Make this fun superhero shield!
- Craft foam in various colors
- 1″ black elastic
- Craft glue
Directions:
Set out a variety of colors of concentric circles cut from craft foam. Cut stars the same size as the smallest circle. Glue a piece of black elastic to the back of the largest circles in advance to make a wristband for children to hold the shields. Children will glue the circles in size order from greatest to smallest to make an imaginative play shield.
Avengers Superhero Puppets
Make these fun superhero puppets inspired by your children’s favorite Avengers Characters!
Materials:
- Construction paper
- Eye stickers or wiggly eyes
- Markers, crayons, colored pencils
- Glue
- Large popsicle sticks
Directions:
Gather your materials and set up individual work stations. For younger children, I would give them each pre-cut bodies in various skin tones, pre-cute masks and capes, and wiggly eyes. For older children, you can place one basket of these materials in the center of the table and allow them to select their own.
Children can select the workspace with their favorite colors, and use the crayons to draw additional clothing, facial features, hair, and more. Providing children with the basic pieces to complete their projects allows them to focus on the details that make their super heroes unique!
Doc McStuffins Boo Boo Bear
It’s time for his check-up, and Doc will fix this bear up in no time!
Materials:
- Printed Teddy Bear Templates {see below}
- Bandages
- Ink pad
- Stamps
Directions:
This fun craft project can also be used as part of a health and wellness lesson. Give each child a printed Teddy bear template to cut {gotta love activities that target multiple fine motor skills for preschool children).
Once children cut their bears, have them use stamps to make “boo boos” on their bears. Then it’s time to add bandages to cover up the boo boos so the bears would feel all better, just like Doc McStuffins does on the cartoon!
Disney Princess Crowns
No Disney Princess is complete without her crown!
Materials:
- Pre-cut craft foam crowns
- Foam stickers
- Glitter glue
- Sequins
- Rhinestones
- Craft glue
Directions:
Gather your materials and set them out on a table in front of your children. This is an opportunity for them to get super creative. Rhinestones, sequins, glitter glue, and foam stickers are the perfect way to decorate these princess crowns. Your children can wear them with princess dresses to complete the look!
Disney Princess Wands
These Disney Princess Wands complement the crowns perfectly!
Materials:
- Different colors of ribbon
- Sparkly craft foam
- Wooden dowels
- Craft paint
- Paint brushes
- Craft glue
Directions:
This is a fun project to do with your child! Choose a specific Disney Princess so that you can select the correct colors -or- have fun creating a one-of-a-kind wand with your child’s favorite colors. Cut out two foam stars from sparkly craft foam and pant the wand the selected color with craft paint.
Glue the painted wooden dowel and ribbons on one of the stars. Glue the other star to the back, and allow the wand to dry completely. Now it’s time for your daughter to have lots of imaginative fun using her handmade princess accessories!
Zootopia Cereal Craft
This Zootopia craft is a great way to target fine motor skills with your preschoolers in a fun way!
Materials:
- Tortoise and Giraffe printables
- Circular cereal
- Crayons, markers, colored pencils
- Craft glue
Directions:
Begin by printing out the Tortoise and Giraffe printables. Have your child color the animals using crayons, markers, colored pencils, etc. Use glue to adhere circular cereal into each of the circles on the animals’ bodies. This is a fun craft that works on multiple fine motor skills.
