This Watermelon Cucumber Mocktail is a refreshing recipe with a sparkling twist!
I live in Gainesville, which is located in North Central Florida. This is a strange time of the year where I live weather-wise. One morning, you wake up, and you can wear a simple sundress and sandals because it’s 80 degrees outside, but two days later, you’re putting on boots, jeans, sweaters, and jackets because it can be 35 degrees outside. This means that I can enjoy a variety of hot beverages {like hot cocoas and vanilla lattes} one day, then refreshing beverages {like this Watermelon Cucumber Mocktail} just a few days later. Check out this simple recipe below with just a few ingredients you can purchase at your local Publix.
Watermelon Cucumber Mocktail Ingredients:
- 2 cups watermelon juice
- 1 lime
- 2 sprigs fresh mint
- 1 can Perrier® Cucumber Lime Flavored Carbonated Mineral Water
- ice
Watermelon Cucumber Mocktail Directions:
I began by making homemade watermelon juice. While store bought would work in this recipe, it’s so easy to make, why not prepare it fresh at home? Simply cut your seedless watermelon into large cubes, place the watermelon cubes in a blender, and blend until smooth. Pour the watermelon puree through a fine-mesh strainer to remove any leftover pulp. Now that your juice is ready, set out the rest of your ingredients, including a lime, a few sprigs of fresh mint, a cup of ice, and Perrier® Cucumber Lime flavor. With 0 calories and 0 sweeteners, it is an elegant and refreshing beverage, perfect on its own or in your favorite mocktail!
In a large shaker, add the watermelon juice, the juice of a lime, and several roughly-chopped mint leaves. Shake until the ingredients are well combined. The combination of the sour from the lime, tang from the mint, sweetness from the watermelon juice, and brightness of the cucumber flavor make a delicious mocktail!
Fill a glass with ice {and don’t forget a paper straw or two}. Then fill the glass about two-thirds of the way with the watermelon-lime-mint mixture. Pop open a slim can of Perrier Cucumber Lime Flavored Carbonated Mineral Water and pour it into the glass until it’s bubbling up to the rim. Add a fresh sprig of mint and serve immediately! This really will be the perfect springtime mocktail as the weather begins to get warmer.
