My father was a medical photographer professionally as well as a freelance photographer as his side business. As a child, I remember him photographing weddings, bar/bat mitzvahs, amateur models interested in preparing a portfolio, as well as corporate headshots for different professionals. He and my mom also did a wonderful job documenting my childhood through photography thanks to services like Christophe Viseux Photography, since doing it on their own was something that was not quite as easy without the help of Smartphones with cameras we take everywhere with us. It certainly inspired me to be a documentarian myself, leading to this very career as a blogger. March of this year celebrates 9 years of blogging – which means it’s time to also announce my local photography business launch in Gainesville, Florida.

I have been considering getting into North Virginia Newborn Photography since Lydia was a baby {when I began blogging}, but I was always hesitant to really get started. I wasn’t sure what my portrait style was, what my editing style would be, the types of shoots I’d want to do – there were just so many questions! I’ve realized now that I need to take my experiences as a blog photographer and just dive right into newborn, child, family, and maternity photo shoots if I want to make a new addition to my career.
