Yield:10 tortillas 1x
1 cup masa harina
3/4 cup + 1 T water
Begin by forming the dough. In a large bowl, combine the 1 cup of masa harina and 3/4 cup + 1 tablespoon of water. Use your hands to bring the dough together. It should go from being a crumbly texture to being a moist dough, similar to a sugar cookie dough.
Since this makes ten corn tortillas, divide the dough into ten small balls, each about 1.5″ in diameter. Line a tortilla press with clear plastic wrap, and place the ball of dough in the center. Fold the plastic wrap over the top, and squeeze the tortilla press. Remove each flattened tortilla and set aside.
The last step is simple. Brush a light coating of oil at the bottom of a pan or griddle. Place each tortilla on the pan. When the edges of the tortilla turn a slight golden, flip it over, and cook that side until it is also a light golden. Your corn tortillas are now ready to serve!
