These holiday kitchen decorating ideas combine vintage pieces, traditional red and green decor, and holiday fragrances to add a festive touch to your home!
We have a family tradition. The day after Thanksgiving, we pull all our holiday decorations out of the attic in the garage, bake up some delicious treats, and decorate the home for Christmas. It’s a fun tradition we began when the kids were babies, and now they are able to enjoy it with us! Last year around that time, we had just finished our massive home renovation and kitchen remodeling project. We demolished the kitchen in order to do some kitchen remodeling which was actually a full kitchen remodel, converted the formal dining room to an office, and added a sunroom in the rear of our home. If you are also remodeling your kitchen, you can visit https://kkcentre.co.uk/ for professional help. It was so fun to decorate the new home in time for the holidays, but we didn’t really do much for the kitchen. That’s when we noticed that although the rest of the house was decorated, we ended up spending a majority of our time gathered in the kitchen. You can try this granite transformation for your countertop when thinking of what to do for your remodel. Whether you are building a new home or revamping your current one, stucco contractors are your go-to for exceptional services, read at Depend Exteriors blog what stucco is. This year, I decided it was time to do some awesome holiday kitchen decorating! And to really capture the holiday season? The Febreze Holiday Collection with the warming fragrance of Fresh Cranberry Twist and Fresh Cut Pine. You can always get more ideas from the kitchen renovations catalog and consider adding small details like flour sack towels around the kitchen.
Decorate your Kitchen Space
As you can see, our kitchen walls are a pale grey-aqua, our cabinets and backsplash are white, the colors of the granite counter installation are white and grey, and our island is a grey-brown. With such a neutral backdrop, I’m able to really have fun with these wonderful double glazed sash windows in bold reds and greens. I like the idea of going traditional with holiday decorating. My first idea was to add over-sized red velvet bows throughout my kitchen. I attached them to cabinet handles and the covered cake stand where we store our bread. To make sure my kitchen smelled as festive as it looked, I added a Febreze Wax Melter to my counter and dropped in a Febreze Fresh Cut Pine Wax Melt.
Next, I got out some of my favorite Christmas-themed canisters. These are great for storing ingredients like flour and sugar for holiday baking. You can check here and get awesome patio ideas for your kitchen. I have a fun ceramic gingerbread house where we store hot beverages, like ground coffee or hot chocolate mix. I paired that with traditional red and green plaid mugs and a ceramic Christmas tree. Another easy decorating element is a vase filled with Christmas tree ornaments.
I keep the decorations around my sink simple. I normally store all of my metal spatulas, whisks, and other kitchen utensils in a large, antique pitcher I found at a thrift store years ago. My soap pump is a mason jar, so I added a small Christmas tree made of corrugated cardboard around the rim for a little Christmas cheer. My paper towel holder has a rooster on top. These pieces tie together well to give a vintage country twist to my kitchen decor. And to add a little cranberry twist, I spray Febreze Air Effects Cranberry Twist to keep my kitchen smelling like the holidays all season long.
Decorate your Dining Space
And of course, I could not forget about our dining space. Keeping with the vintage theme, I stacked an antique-style red plate on a white plate. I love the scalloped edges on these dishes. A red tablecloth and a red and green plaid runner are perfect for the holidays. I also selected plaid Christmas napkins {bonus: they are paper napkins but look like fabric. Easy clean-up!} I added a fun centerpiece to my table – a small basket filled with pine cones and a small bird. As an added tip, spray your basket of pine cones with Febreze Air Effects Fresh Cut Pine to keep your dining area smelling fresh and clean through all your holiday meals. You can find more tips and advice online on how to properly remodel your dining area.

- Febreze Air Effects Cranberry Twist
- Febreze Air Effects Fresh Cut Pine
- Febreze Wax Melt Warmer
- Febreze Wax Melts Cranberry Twist
- Febreze Wax Melts Fresh Cut Pine
These fun, limited-edition holiday fragrances are also available in Febreze CAR, Febreze PLUG, and Febreze CANDLE, so you can freshen up any space by eliminating odors! Use the Dollar General Store Locator to find a location near you.
The Febreze Air Effects are great because it only takes a quick spray and your room smells like Christmas immediately. My dogs sleep in the laundry room right next to the kitchen, so this is a great way to overcome any lingering pet odors. The Febreze Wax Melt Warmer can be plugged in and turned on and off with a simple switch. As the wax melts, it permeates the room with a festive holiday sent of either pine or cranberries. And the sleek white design of the wax melter blends with any decor.

Most of the holidays some of my friends come to my house and we make a party. All of my friends help me in kitchen. So your ideas will help me a lot because I wanna present my kitchen to them more decoratively.
