Give the Gift of Education

So yesterday, I got the kids in the car, and we drove around my favorite college campus. Lydia started asking me questions like:

“Why did you go to this school?”
“Do you need good grades?”
“Would I be able to go here one day?”
“How much money does it cost?”
“Do you have money saved for me?”
“Can I just keep learning forever?”

Now that she’s a *big* second grader, she wants to know all about how education really works. I was excited to answer all of these questions. I told her that she has money for college set aside. That’s because when she and Bryce were infants, we purchased them each Florida Prepaid College Plans. There is a Prepaid Plan for every budget. Both my children have 4-year plans. Here are two 4-year options available:

4-Year Florida College Plan
There are 28 Florida colleges, and most offer four-year bachelor’s degree programs in growth industries like nursing and teaching. And since they’re typically less expensive than a university education, the 4-Year Florida College Plan provides a practical, affordable path to a bachelor’s degree. Every cent of the value of this plan can be applied at any university or college nationwide and is guaranteed by the state of Florida. You cannot lose the money you put in.

4-Year Florida University Plan
This Plan covers a four-year education at one of Florida’s 12 prestigious state universities. If your child decides to start at a college, the unused funds from this Plan can be applied to a post-secondary degree {or you can get the remaining money back}. Like all of our plans, use isn’t restricted to Florida schools; the amount covered by your Prepaid Plan can be used at schools nationwide.
