Here’s how we re-establish after school activities for a new school year when the summer comes to an end.
We are fortunate to live less than a mile from a really nice village center, which is basically an area with independently-owned restaurants, retail shops, a fountain in the middle, a playground area, and a beautiful pond filled with turtles, koi fish, and bullfrogs. We visit every Saturday morning to go to our local farmer’s market, and sometimes we meet up with friends after school. As the school year begins, we are getting back into that school routine by revisiting some of our favorite after school activities.

My kids did not attend summer camp and we didn’t do too much traveling to see friends, so Lydia and Bryce have really become best friends {perhaps best frenemies sometimes?} this summer. As a family of four, we took many day trips to places throughout Florida, like the historic city of St. Augustine, Orlando-area theme parks, state parks to swim in the springs, and St. Petersburg on the West Coast. Some days we just enjoyed relaxing minutes from our home at our village center.
As we shift from long summer days together and move toward a more rigid school schedule, I want to make sure we still maintain some of our favorite things to do together as after school activities. We’re not the type of family that does all kinds of sports, clubs, scouts etc. but we do enjoy an afternoon walk along our favorite paths, swing time at the playground, and a little stop at the fountain.
On of their favorite things to do at our village center is visit the turtles. They are so friendly, they just come right up to you when you sit by them, and right next to the pond is a nice bench to sit by to watch the turtles and fish. It’s also a great place to relax and enjoy a snack. Our snack of choice today? Nature’s Bakery Fig Bars.
I love selecting snacks for my children that are made with wholesome ingredients, like real fruit and whole grains, to enjoy during after school activities. I purchased Nature’s Bakery Fig Bars in two varieties:
All Nature’s Bakery products are vegan, Kosher, non-GMO verified, dairy-free, soy-free, nut-free, and free of high fructose corn syrup. The gluten-free variety is certified gluten-free. Each package of Nature’s Bakery products contains two fig bars, so it makes the perfect on-the-go snack for your kids. Just pack it in a lunch box, backpack, or your purse to enjoy after school activities with your kids.

Engaging in after-school activities is an excellent way for children to explore their interests and develop new skills. In a similar vein, students often seek resources to enhance their academic skills and knowledge outside of school hours. To support their quest for academic excellence, I’d like to share a resource https://www.europeanbusinessreview.com/5-best-assignment-help-websites/ where experts gathered many resources that offer students valuable support to complement their academic journey. After-school activities complement a child’s education and gave them opportunity to get a well-rounded development through extracurricular activities.
