This Acai Yogurt Smoothie Bowl makes a great brunch dish!
Brunch is my absolute favorite meal of the day. It’s quite unfortunate that we generally only serve brunch on the weekends, but that just means it’s time to make something extra special to share with friends and family. Usually I prepare savory dishes {I made a breakfast pizza this past Sunday}, but this time, I’m sharing my Acai Yogurt Smoothie Bowl, a sweet treat perfect for sharing with others! Check out the recipe below.
Acai Yogurt Smoothie Bowl Ingredients:
- Four 5.3 ounce cups of Dannon® Oikos® Traditional Greek Yogurt {flavors of your choice}
- 1/2 cup Acai puree
- 1 kiwi
- 1 banana
- 1/2 cup berries
- pumpkin seeds, sliced almonds, shredded coconut
Acai Yogurt Smoothie Bowl Ingredients:
Begin by preparing your fruits. I peeled and sliced the kiwi and banana, washed and cut the berries as needed. The fun thing about smoothie bowl recipes is that you can select all of your favorite fruits. Make it more tropical with fruits like pineapple and mango or use fall fruits like apple and pear.
In a large bowl, place dollops of Dannon® Oikos® Traditional Greek Yogurt in the flavors of your choice. I selected Key Lime, Orange Cream, and Strawberry. Because this is a shareable recipe, I thought I would combine different flavors so there’s something for everything. You can use four containers of the same flavor or four different flavors.
To finish this Acai Yogurt Smoothie owl, drizzle acai purée over the different flavors of yogurt {you can find this ingredient frozen or substitute with a different puréed fruit, like raspberry}. Use a toothpick to swirl all of the flavors together – you can have fun really making food art. Then layer your fruits beautifully into your bowl. I sprinkled a row of shredded coconut, sliced almonds, and pumpkin seeds, and it was ready to serve!
Dannon Oikos Traditional Greek Yogurt is available in a variety of fun flavors like Key Lime, Strawberry, Orange Cream, Banana Cream, and Vanilla. Each 5.3 ounce serving has 150 calories and 11 grams of protein, so this Acai Yogurt Smoothie Bowl is a healthy addition to your brunch gathering!
Head to Walmart where you can find Dannon Oikos Traditional Greek Yogurt in the dairy section. If you’d like to try this Acai Yogurt Smoothie Bowl recipe, make sure you also grab a variety of fresh fruits, dried fruit, seeds, nuts, and all of your other favorite smoothie ingredients!
