Remember when a milkshake was just a single-flavor drink option that came in a lidded paper cup at your favorite fast food restaurant? It was delicious, refreshing, creamy, all the things you love about ice cream in beverage form. Well… have you seen what’s going on in the world of milkshakes recently? It’s crazy! Do a quick search for “milkshake” on Instagram, and you can see that they are being completely transformed into some type of gigantic ice cream-sundae-parfait-milkshake concoction, and it’s amazing! So I figured it was my time to contribute to this over-the-top milkshake craze with this delicious Ultimate Sweet & Salty Peanut Butter Milkshake.


  • 4 large scoops Blue Bunny® PB ‘N Cone™ ice cream
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • chocolate chip cookies
  • peanuts
  • mini chocolate chips
  • hard chocolate coating
  • salted caramel sauce
  • whipped cream
  • 2 pretzel rods


This is one of those recipes that make me ask “Where do I begin?” Well, it’s pretty simple – start by gathering all of the delicious toppings you want for your ultimate shake. I selected chocolate chip cookies {made from store-bought cookie dough}, salted caramel peanuts, mini semi-sweet chocolate chips, hard chocolate coating, salted caramel sauce, whipped cream, and pretzel rods. You can try other delicious ingredients like potato chips, chocolate-covered pretzel twists, almonds – get creative!

Coat the inside of your glass with a drizzle of salted caramel sauce and a drizzle of hard chocolate coating. These two ingredients complement the Blue Bunny® PB ‘N Cone™ ice cream perfectly!

Now, you’re going to want to help all of those delicious ingredients to stick to your glass, so cover the outer rim in caramel sauce. It makes a good binder for the peanuts {which I roughly chopped} and mini chocolate chips.

To make the actual milkshake, add 1/2 cup of milk and three large scoops of Blue Bunny® PB ‘N Cone™ ice cream to a blender. Blend until smooth. If you like it creamier, add another scoop of ice cream. Then to mound up the toppings on this ultimate milkshake, add one extra scoop of ice cream.

To complete the shake, top with mini chocolate chips, peanuts, whipped cream, chocolate chip cookies, hard chocolate coating, salted caramel sauce, and two pretzel rods. Oh, and don’t forget two straws — this is certainly a milkshake for sharing!
