Moving Your Kids to Your College Town

This is a sponsored post on behalf of Bloggin’ Mamas & the Florida Prepaid College Board. All opinions expressed are my own.

I attended the University of Florida from Summer 1997 through Fall 2002. In that time, I completed the PROTEACH program: It is a 5-year Bachelor’s and Master’s program in the College of Education. I always loved the weather in Gainesville and the small town vibe. This past summer, we decided to move our children to Gainesville so they could experience all this awesome community has to offer.

I am so proud to share this amazing University with my children. I want them to believe “It’s Great to be a Florida Gator”, too! From tailgating fun to visiting my old dorm to enjoying the awesome Florida Museum of Natural History, we spend a lot of time on campus as a family. Sharing with my college experience with my family has been such a wonderful experience so far, but it’s so much more than just having fun together. I hope that through my stories and love of my college town and university life, I am able to inspire them to find their own post-secondary paths one day. I want to encourage them to discover their passions and follow their dreams by attending a college of their choosing and like how I chose UF. To help them out, I purchased each of them Florida Prepaid College Plans when they were infants.

The Open Enrollment Period for Florida Prepaid is now through February 28, 2018.
